Y’all know I’m not a fan of rules when it comes to fashion. One of the joys of surveying New York Fashion Week via social media has been seeing a lot of the stylish attendees wearing white well after Labor Day, signaling that the antiquated rule which used to prohibit this is no longer in place. White on white creates a crisp, confident look, in addition to a canvas for an amazing fall jacket. I can’t wait to experiment with this checkered plaid jacket with varsity trim as the season continues, but layering it over jeans and a crop top successfully addresses the issue of transitional weather. As for shoes? I’m starting to think sneakers make every outfit cooler. Thoughts?
