An old photo of my one-year-old self that I recently posted on Instagram for a weekly #tbt inspired me to bring back my first signature hairstyle, which my dad called “the Pebbles.” I think it speaks for itself, unless you’ve been living under a rock (—Flintstones pun entirely intended). In honor of my first years on Earth, I decided to go with a head-to-toe 90s-inspired look to accompany this ‘do: a neutral cropped blouse, classic mom jeans, and offbeat yet minimalist accessories.

Think Pink

1Q1A9156Pants from Nasty Gal, American Apparel spandex crop top, Jeffrey Campbell lucite heels, necklace from Lola’s Urban Vintage truck at SoWa.

Remember when I told you how easy it is to change up a standard fashion formula with different prints, colors, and styling? Though the basic components to this look mimic outfits I’ve posted before, the solid pink pants and fun necklace give a fresh take on one of my favorite silhouettes. Pink is back in a big way (embrace it!), and statement jewelry can bring a lot more range to the most basic pieces in your wardrobe. Lola’s Vintage Urban truck is the perfect place to find unique pieces like this necklace. Owner Nicoletta Lyons (who hand makes lots of the accessories herself) has created a vintage mecca for Boston’s fashion risk-takers, and it’s literally on wheels. Plus, the prices are amazing.
