These Ain’t Your Momma’s Mom Jeans

Can we talk about the ’90s again? Because for me, mom jeans, crop tops, and jellies are absolute essentials. Here are two outfits with two different vibes that both celebrate these wonderful throwbacks.

1Q1A2877You’re going to see me in these American Apparel Medium Wash High-Waist Jeans and my American Apparel black Spandex Crop Top again and again. They’re simply the sauce. My relaxed yet funky Sandro sweater is the perfect weight for September’s fluctuating weather, and I love the way my vintage woven bag plays with the texture and colors of the sweater. Being that the glitter Juju Babe glitter jelly sandals  (also courtesy of American Apparel) are on the cooky side, I went with my trusty black Oliver Peoples shades to keep things cool.

annie feetWhile the first outfit has a sort of updated grunge look, I suppose I would call this getup Babysitters Club Chic with a ’50s twist…I’m totally obsessed with these deliciously embroidered mom jeans from Topshop, which I paired with American Apparel’s basic white Baby Rib Crop T. My off-white cateye sunglasses from See Eyewear add a sophisticated flair to this fun-loving look, and the tortoise-shell stems pick up the tortoise buckle of my vintage belt.

  5. I’m really enjoying the design and layout of your site.
It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often.

Did you hire out a developer to create your theme?
    Outstanding work!

    • Joleyn,
Thank you! If you’re referring to the Topshop junk-food jeans, those aren’t patches; the jeans came embroidered that way, and they’re unfortunately sold out. But thank you for reading and for your comments! Stay saucy! Xo
